The company announced that it has secured a significant order worth ₹152 crore (inclusive of taxes) from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the delivery of its advanced Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS) for the L70 anti-aircraft gun platform.

This marks a major milestone in Zen’s journey to becoming a global leader in defence simulation and training technology.

Order Highlights

  • Contract Value: ₹152 crore (inclusive of taxes)
  • Client: Ministry of Defence, Government of India
  • Product: Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS)
  • Platform: Legacy L70 Air Defence Gun
  • Technology Category: Indigenous development under Make-II

What Is the Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS)?

Zen’s IADCS is a next-generation, virtual simulation system built entirely through in-house research and development. Designed to train operators in air defence combat tactics, it creates hyper-realistic training environments that help personnel enhance their operational efficiency without incurring the high costs and logistical challenges of live training exercises.

The simulator is highly scalable, adaptable, and exportable, offering considerable operational and economic benefits not only to the Indian armed forces but also to foreign militaries operating similar legacy systems.

Strengthening India’s Defence Self-Reliance

This new contract reflects Zen’s commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) in defence manufacturing. The IADCS project was developed under the Make-II framework, encouraging private-sector innovation for defence readiness.

“This order is a testament to our unwavering belief in innovation and our ability to build world-class indigenous solutions,” said Mr. Arjun Dutt Atluri, Vice President at Zen Technologies.

With its successful deployment, the company anticipates demand from international markets, especially those operating legacy L70 systems.

What This Means for Investors

Zen Technologies’ latest MoD contract demonstrates several positive signals for investors:

  1. Strong Revenue Visibility: This ₹152 crore order bolsters Zen’s order book and enhances near-term revenue predictability.
  2. Innovation Moat: Zen’s proprietary defence simulation technologies position it uniquely in a high-barrier, low-competition segment.
  3. Export Potential: With increasing global interest in cost-effective training solutions, Zen is well-placed for overseas expansion.
  4. Policy Alignment: The company’s R&D-led products align closely with government defence initiatives and modernization programs.
