Today is no less than a festival for India. India proved that anything could happen in history by winning the bronze medal.
Tokyo Olympics 2021 – Celebration in India
On an action-packed Wednesday, there are plenty of opportunities for India to add to its medal tally. And it all started when the guys in blue beat Germany 5-4 to earn bronze at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. Manpreet Singh’s men fought hard and produced a stunning comeback to end India’s 41-year medal drought, adding their 12th hockey medal to its history.
The most critical matchup of the day will be between Ravi Dahiya and Zavur Uguev, as India attempts to win a historic gold medal. On Tuesday (3rd August 2021), Dahiya was ruthless, completing an incredible comeback to qualify for the final. Regardless of the outcome, India will be guaranteed a medal when Dahiya’s match concludes.
In the men’s freestyle category, Deepak Punia has a chance to win a bronze medal. However, that was the end of the road for Anshu Malik, who was eliminated in the repechage round. Vinesh Phogat, who also lost in the quarterfinals, will compete for bronze if Kaladzinskaya advances to the final.
