WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, three of the most popular social media platforms, fell down late Monday night due to a suspected global outage and technical failure.
Around 9 p.m., India time, the platforms owned by Facebook experienced outages, with millions of users reporting that new messages were not being loaded and that their user feeds were being disrupted.
A Facebook spokesperson said in a statement when contacted, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
