Huawei has announced a new phone in its P40 smartphone series: the Huawei P40 Lite 5G, an upgraded version of the Huawei P40 Lite launched two months ago by the company. The Huawei P40 Lite 5G has upgraded silicon, a better primary camera, and of course, support for 5G.
The new model has been introduced in Europe and is different from the previously released Huawei P40 Lite. This new Huawei P40 Lite comes with 5G Kirin 820 octa-core 5G processor at the rear and another quad camera setup. The Huawei P40 Lite 5G resembles the rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G, which was launched in China last month.

Huawei P40 Lite 5G memory can be expanded up to 256 GB
Huawei P40 Lite 5G Dual-SIM (Nano) runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. It has a 6.5-inch full-HD + (1.080×2.400 pixels) LCD hole-punch display and is powered by Haisilin Kirin 820 5G octa-core SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage options. There is an option to use the nano memory SD card to expand the capacity up to 256 GB.
64-megapixel primary camera with aperture
The camera setup is located vertically on the Huawei P40 Lite 5G and is located on the top left corner of the screen. The setup includes a 64-megapixel primary camera with f / 1.8 aperture, ultra-wide 8-megapixel camera with f / 2.4 aperture, a 2-megapixel f / 2.4 aperture macro camera and a 2-megapixel f / 2.4 Is included. The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f / 2.0 an at the front.

Huawei P40 Lite 5G has a 4,000mAh battery with 40W supercharged fast charging support. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor measuring 162.31×75.0x8.58 mm and weighing 189 grams on the Huawei P40 Lite GG.

In Europe, the Huawei P40 Lite 5G is priced at EUR 399 (about Rs 32,800). The phone is already on pre-order and will start selling from May 28. It comes in color options Midnight Black, Space Silver, and Crush Green. According to Huawei’s site, pre-order customers can get a free Huawei Freebuds 3i headset.
Huawei P40 Lite 5G Price in India
The phone looks like it is a rebadged version of Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G launched in China last month. It is different from the Huawei P40 Lite model, which was launched in Europe in February. The price of this model is only EUR 299 (about Rs 23,300). Huawei P40 lite 5G expected price in India is ₹31,999.6 and the first sale for the device will start on May 28.
