Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, is being held in Arthur Road Jail after being apprehended by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 2 off a cruise ship suspected of having drugs on board.
The case will be heard in front of Justice Nitin Sambre of the Bombay High Court for the third day in a row, with a judgment on Aryan’s bail expected later on Thursday. Aryan and the other defendants have already been denied bail twice.
As curiosity over Aryan’s fate grows, a photo of Shah Rukh is circulating on social media, showing him leaving a hotel for Mannat, his Bandra mansion. The team of lawyers defending his son informed him of the case’s progress here. Shah Rukh left for Mannat via the venue’s back entrance after the meeting. A few people saw his car, and even he was photographed late at night.
In the meantime, Shah Rukh has postponed all of his filmings till Aryan is released from prison. When Aryan was arrested, and judicial processes began, he was filming his two highly awaited projects, Pathan with Deepika Padukone and Atlee, directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh had already met Aryan for a brief meeting in Arthur Road Jail on October 21, as per protocol. The father and son communicated via intercom and a glass pane. Images of the Bollywood celebrity went popular on social media after a swarm of individuals and media personnel flocked to the jail grounds.
Shah Rukh will also star in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film, with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon as co-writers. It’s a social drama, according to the description.
