In the preceding year of 2022, Ayodhya made global headlines by setting a remarkable world record—lighting over 15 lakh diyas on the eve of Diwali. The city’s radiant celebration became a testament to its deep-rooted cultural significance and drew admiration from around the world.

Ram Temple’s Throne: A Symbol of Grandeur

Ayodhya Is Getting Ready for Grand Arrival of Shri Ram’s 8-foot-tall gold-plated marble throne, which is being crafted by skilled artisans in Rajasthan and is expected to reach Ayodhya by December 15. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple will host this magnificent structure, standing eight feet high, three feet long, and four feet wide.

Devotees’ Generosity and Temple Progress

Anil Mishra, a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared insights into the overwhelming support from devotees. Not only has there been substantial financial support, but devotees have also donated significant amounts of gold and silver items, including coins and bricks. To ensure the safekeeping of these donations, plans involve melting them into solid blocks under the guidance of reputed organizations.

The temple construction has seen remarkable progress, with increased workforce and accelerated timelines. Ram Mandir will complete the ground floor on December 15th. The first floor is already 80% complete. The sanctum sanctorum and Parikrama Marg flooring are done. Marble flooring work is underway in the Griha Mandap, and the roofing for all three floors is complete. Safety measures and the final stages of the entrance gate on the outer wall are also underway, moreover, completion is expected by the end of November.

Upcoming Milestone: Installation of the Shree Ram Statue

Anticipation is building up. The Ram statue will be installed on January 22, 2024. Indian Prime Minister Modi will lead the historic ceremony. Ayodhya is filled with Diwali joy. Ayodhya temple is also witnessing the manifestation of a historic and majestic temple dedicated to Lord Ram. The city is not merely celebrating a festival; it is weaving its rich tapestry of tradition, devotion, and progress.
